FRESHWATER ROUTES

The Misa River has its source in the mountains of the small village of Arcevia and runs through the city of Senigallia. It flows for miles through a fertile valley protected by the hilly landscape, rich in villages, historic sites, river landscapes, cultivated areas, and wild, fascinating trekking trails. In addition to Misa, the area includes the rivers Cesano, Metauro, Esino and Musone and, from north to south, the rivers that flow across the region's comb-like valleys. Each river has a peculiar history, a variety of small communities, and a great naturalistic heritage.
